Scandinavia gets set to share knowledge in 2011

In the coming months, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise User Groups in Scandinavia will meet at interesting locations across the region. The events will provide a chance to learn more about Alcatel-Lucent solutions, to see how others are putting these products and services to work in their enterprises, and to voice their opinions and ideas about the future of telecommunications. Here, we take a closer look at the exciting calendar of events ahead.

Sweden
On April 7, the Swedish municipality of Nyköping will welcome members of the Alcatel Lucent Enterprise User Group in Sweden to its town hall for a one-day conference. The event will focus on Alcatel-Lucent 4760, and the participants will get a guided tour of the town hall as they are introduced to the municipality’s Alcatel-Lucent voice solution.

Later this year, on November 10 and 11, a second User Group event will be held at Japanese-style hotel, spa and conference facility, Yasuragi, in Stockholm. An Alcatel-Lucent customer, the hotel will share how it uses Alcatel-Lucent solutions on the premises to provide a peaceful oasis that promotes work-life balance.

Denmark
On April 13, there will be a half-day conference hosted by prestigious media company Nordisk Film. Nordic Film is part of the Egmont Group and is a Nordic leader in developing, producing and distributing creative content for films, videos, games and music.
During the afternoon, participants will delve deeper into Alcatel Lucent’s five main growth areas and how they apply to visual communication and network infrastructure. They will also get insights on the Alcatel-Lucent voice solution used by Egmont as well as the shipping company, Torm. In the evening, guests will enjoy a guided tour around Nordic Film, and Alcatel-Lucent will host a dinner at a nice restaurant in the center of Copenhagen.

Norway
On May 26 and 27, the Norwegian User Group is hosting a two-day customer conference at the Farris Bad Hotel in Larvik, Norway, 135 kilometers south of Oslo. Here, against a stunning beach backdrop, a full program of speakers from Alcatel-Lucent, the company’s business partners and other external experts will speak to the event’s “Change the Conversation” theme with a focus on mobility, reflecting Alcatel-Lucent’s focus for 2011 and the Dynamic Tour stop in Barcelona, Spain this April 2011.

What to expect
Most of the events will include a mix of speakers, question-and-answer (Q&A) sessions and workshops that focus on one or more of Alcatel-Lucent’s five key growth areas:
  • Video solutions
  • Intelligent workflow distribution (iWD)
  • SIP solutions
  • Workflow optimization and analytics (WFO)
  • Network infrastructure
Throughout the day, participants will have a chance to network and mingle with the Alcatel-Lucent representatives, business partners and other customers in attendance.

“ Events like these are a great opportunity for Alcatel-Lucent and customers to exchange ideas and engage in meaningful face-to-face discussions,” explains Dora Krebs, Marketing Manager, Nordics & Baltic, Alcatel Lucent Enterprise, who facilitates events in the region and builds relationships with and among the 3 Scandinavian User Groups. “ Customers learn how to optimize their use of Alcatel-Lucent solutions and have a chance to network with like-minded people, while our representatives come away with valuable feedback on Alcatel-Lucent solutions and services. Everyone wins! ”

Talking about ToIP with ALESUG France

ALESUG France is kicking off 2010 with its first event of the year on February 2: "Strategies and security risks associated with ToIP," a day dedicated to Telephony over Internet Protocol (ToIP).

While ToIP has enabled major communication innovations, it also poses security threats associated UC, cloud computing, SIP protocol, and SAAS. Along with Lexsi, a European group dedicated to information security services, ALESUG France will address ToIP security issues through expert presentations, roundtables, exchange of best practices and customer testimonials. As with all ALESUG events, there will be plenty of opportunities to network with other participants.

If you are a member of ALESUG France and would like to sign up for the ToIP event, please visit the User Group's website at: http://www.club-alcatel.org/.

For other user group members, stay tuned for the post-event wrap-up, here on the ALESUG homepage!
